Jornada was born in 2019, unveiling the biodiversity of Parque das Dunas in the capital of Rio Grande do Norte through research, creations, and training. However, hearing the call from other partner institutions, our team understood the importance of sharing our methodologies and transformative creative processes in other locations and natures of the city, and thus this new edition emerged: Jornada no Potengi.
Jornada no Potengi is an action that involves research, creation, training, and dissemination of the socio-environmental heritage of the Potengi river estuary. Our team, through expeditions, meets with communities to create products that encourage the population to rediscover the beauties and weaknesses of Potengi.
Creative products
RESEARCH
Through expeditions and cartography, one of the objectives of this edition is to reveal the Potengi estuary and the socio-environmental reality of the river.
MEMOIRS
Together with MuMA (Museum of Affective Memory), Jornada no Potengi aims to rescue and record the affective memories of people who live near the river, as well as encouraging the population to record these memories within the MuMA website, creating a collection of affective stories of the city.
CREATION LABORATORY
The Laboratory is a new addition to this edition and aims to bring multilingual creative workshops to communities and interested audiences in the most different territories.
EXHIBITION
At the end of the research, an interactive exhibition will be held in the IPHAN RN building where visitors will have the unique opportunity to delve into the memories and experiences of Potengi.
